Today I removed the doors, windshield, seat and gas tank. I have the cab mount bolts completely loose as well. I hope to get the cab off the frame tomorrow. I need to build a cradle for the cab to rest on. I have extra doors to replace the original doors. Here are some random pics from today.

Because the internet has a lot of mixed information, I thought I would post some pics showing the differences between a 1988 WC T5 from a V8 Camaro and a 1989 NWC T5 from a GMC S15 truck (GMC version of a Chevy S10). You can learn how to accurately calculate the gearing inside a T5, so you don't have to rely on possibly incorrect internet ID tag charts.
I spent a few hours carefully opening and inspecting my new WC T5 tranny. I think I can use it without rebuilding after I swap the tailshaft housing and re-seal it. It looks great inside. The fluid inside was nice and clean. Here is the 1989 Camaro WC on the left and the 1989 NWC S15 shaft on the right.. Notice that the input shaft is shorter on the WC tranny. That means I don't need an adapter. This T5 has codes that match 1988 V8 World Class T5. It came out of a 1989 Camaro. The top cover from the S15 (right) will replace the Camaro top cover. The gears inside looked OK. The magnet in the bottom had a few metal shavings. Better picture to come, but here it is with the S15 tailhousing installed for a test fit.
Today I bought a WC T5 pulled from a 1989 V8 Camaro. The tag and sticker code say 1352-176 which means it has a 2.95 1st gear and a 0.63 OD. I checked the 1st and OD gears on site before I handed over the cash. Here are some pics.
